A young Russian woman poses happily and calmly in front of a pile of dead bodies. The bodies were dragged to the end of the train and are victims of the 2010 Moscow metro bombing where over forty people were killed and over a hundred injured.

During this time of giving, I urge you to donate to more accepting charities than the Salvation Army, which is not accepting of homosexuals. In these troubled times, there is no need for an organization that is supposed to assist the unfortunate to be intolerant of anyone.
I always try to donate to charities like Toys For Tots, my local food bank, local domestic violence organizations (locally, I donate to 180: Turning Lives Around, to find an organization near you, Google “domestic violence assistance” in your area), or the American Society for the Prevention of the Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Instead of throwing your spare change or a few dollars in that red bucket, consider putting your loose change & singles this season in a jar & donating it to a worthy cause that focuses on charity & not intolerance.

LIFE Scholarships Ruining Lives?

College tuition has raised 600% in the last decade. Why? The answer isnt what you’d expect.

Ten years ago, money from the South Carolina lottery was given directly to colleges rather than the students. Schools used this money to build up campus and keep up general maintenance. Recently, however, the system has changed. Now, students get the money directly rather than the schools.

Ten years ago, Winthrop University tuition was under $5,000 per year. Now, tuition is more than $12,000 a year.

The reason behind this is simple. Because the schools no longer receive as much money from the lottery (because its used for scholarships given to individuals), colleges have to make up for their losses by raising tuition.

Students with LIFE Scholarships get around $5,000 dollars annually for maintaining good grades. However, even if they keep their scholarships throughout the four consecutive years, they still need $28,000 dollars more to pay the remaining balance.

Many students get this money from loans. This means, students graduate from school with a $28,000 dollar debt minimum.

Students without scholarships pay more than $48,000 dollars for the four years at Winthrop University in comparison to the $20,000 they would have paid 10 years ago without programs like LIFE.

Leave a comment with your own opinions about this topic. Keep the scholarship programs or do away with them?

The dog was named Parrot. This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by the cop. The cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot’s back while stretching Parrot’s forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal. Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot, the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the top of the concrete staircase. He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal’s owner, cannot recall the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming anybody and was simply frightened by the cop.

Our youth started a peaceful movement… Our youth will burn the city’s. I’m thinking very hard times ahead for all of us. America is on the verge of self destruction. It’s things like this and what is happening in Oakland that make people loose objectivity and rage prevails…upward increasing RAGE!!! If that was my dog I’d be in jail right now awaiting sentencing for manslaughter.
